We were definitely feeling the need to get out in the somewhat less oppressive heat and humidity and enjoy a day outside with the kids. Alora had been asking for awhile to go and see the "monkeys in the trees", so we decided on the ZOO! First on our path were the giraffes! Normally, we don't get too excited about the giraffes for this one reason......they are NEVER at the platform. Well, today they were! Austin & Alora both got to feed them!
Next, we went over to the aviary. We thought Alora would get a kick out of this since she LOVES birds. She has loved birds since she was a tiny baby. Even the ugly crowes she adores. You can buy nectar cups for the lorikeets & popsicle sticks with birdseed stuck to them for the cockatiels.
